We need to look after our healthcare professionals better! by Nacho Abia

Nacho Abia believes there are some areas where Barcelona’s healthcare managers may be able to learn from the healthcare systems in some US cities. In fact, Abia highlights “the quality of service received by patients at all stages of medical care", as well as users’ continuous evaluation of the service throughout the treatment of the disease, a process that incentivizes healthcare professionals.

“The quality of healthcare in Barcelona is excellent, universal, and free for the patient. It also boasts institutions like Hospital Clínic and Vall d'Hebron that are leaders in results and innovation,” says Olympus’ head of global strategy. However, to continue along these lines and to continue improving healthcare services, “we must focus on valuing healthcare professionals, the people who care for everyone.”
