Let's invite talent from around the world to Barcelona, by Pablo Villoslada

“ Silicon Valley combines capital with a pioneering spirit, a culture of risk, and a widespread passion for technology,” says Pablo Villoslada from Palo Alto, who asserts that "it has basically been Silicon Valley’s ability to attract talent from all over the planet that has allowed it to become a laboratory for projects and companies. There are many failures, but also numerous successes, such as Apple, Alphabet, Facebook, Intel, HP, Cisco, and Salesforce.”
Villoslada points out that Barcelona “has a great potential as part of Society 3.0” but it is in the attraction of talent “where a city can make a difference.” Barcelona should encourage well-trained people to settle here by making it easier to get visas, adapt to life in the city, and set up technological companies,” he says, adding that Barcelona could evolve “from a city for tourists to a city of talent, a goal that can be achieved if the city embraces talent as a new hallmark of its identity.”
