LOOP Fair 2018: the videoart festival

On Wednesday 21th of November at 7pm the member of Barcelona Global and Co-Director of LOOP, Carlos Durán, will welcome us to the visit where we will see the panorama of contemporary creation in this field introduced by Jean-Conrad Lemaître, Collector and President of the committee of LOOP.

In 2003, two years before the emergence of Youtube, LOOP creates the first fair in the world of video art. With a hybrid type (festival, fair and forum) LOOP promotes the creative character of the city.

As pointed out by Emilio Alvarez, Co-Director of LOOP, in an article published by El Mundo: "the video art is the most used tool by artists. It is symptomatic that all of the finalists works of the Turner Prize awarded by the Tate and the Marcel Duchamp prize are of video art".
