  • Mobility, Barcelona’s tool for achieving sustainable development

Barcelona Global presented on September 30 at CaixaForum Macaya the update of the Mobility Challenge 'Mobility, Barcelona’s tool for achieving sustainable development'. A report that analyzes the evolution of mobility in a post-pandemic environment and from a metropolitan perspective.

The report lays the foundations for mobility to become one of the key elements for Barcelona's competitiveness and sustainability and for it to be planned and managed from a metropolitan perspective in collaboration with all administrations, with the participation of public companies and deprived of mobility.

This new edition brings together the conclusions of the Barcelona Global Challenge project in mobility, which has had the participation of more than 40 Barcelona Global partners and which includes 14 specific key proposals for sustainable and metropolitan mobility in Greater Barcelona.

During the session took place the dialogue between the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez and the president of Barcelona Global, Maite Barrera Xaubet; the CEO of Barcelona Global, Mateu Hernández and the mobility experts Pilar Conesa, CEO of Anteverti; Noemí Moya, Regional Head of Public Policy and Market Development for Spain, Italy, France and Belgium of Voi; Chema Casas, General Director of Telefónica in Catalonia and Josep Martínez Vila, CEO of SABA.
